Your Roof Looks Fine From the Ground. Here's Why That's Not Enough.

It's the morning after a storm. You walk out front, look up, and the roof looks… fine. That's what most homeowners see, and it's exactly the problem.

The damage you can't see from the yard

Wind lifts and tears shingle tabs where it hits hardest: along the ridge and the upper courses. From the ground, a hip or gable roof hides most of that area, and a missing tab near the top just looks like a slightly darker patch, if you can see it at all. Left alone, those gaps let water reach the layer underneath, and that's how a small storm problem becomes a leak months later.

Why not just get on a ladder?

Climbing a wet, storm-worn roof is how people get hurt, and as the homeowner in our video points out, most of us aren't going up there anyway. Free inspections from roofing companies are another option, but they come from someone who's hoping to sell you a roof.

How a drone inspection works

  1. Book online in a couple of minutes at roofinspect.ai/book. You don't need to be home.
  2. An FAA Part 107 certified pilot flies your roof and captures close-up photos.
  3. AI flags likely damage, like missing or lifted tabs, and a person reviews it.
  4. You get a PDF report with annotated photos you can share with a roofer or your insurance company.

RoofInspect.AI is independent, not affiliated with any roofing or insurance company, so the report simply documents what's there.

Beta pricing: $29 per inspection while we're in beta.
